Baked Green Chili Turkey Tacos

If you know anything about me or have read any of my blog, then you know the hubby and I are pretty much in love with tacos. If it’s not tacos, its pizza, but its a close second! I love getting the chance to make tacos because they’re so versatile and fun to put your own spin on them however you like them or prefer them that day. We decided on a smokey/spicy combo tonight for them by adding some green chilies 🌶

Ingredients :

  • 1 lb ground turkey (I used Jennie-O super lean ground turkey)
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1 can roasted and diced green chilies
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 1 package (this recipe was for two people so I made 10 tacos = leftovers!!)
  • ½ cup shredded cheese
  • pico de gallo and sour cream for toppings

Directions :

  1.  Preheat oven to 350°
  2.  In a large skillet, cook onions until fragrant and then add the ground turkey and cook until browned. Drain excess liquid
  3.  Add taco seasoning and green chilies and cook until all combined
  4.  Align taco shells in baking dish and fill tacos to desired amount
  5.  Bake for 5-7 minutes (cooking them too long will cause the shells to fall apart)
  6.  Serve with pico de gallo, cheese and sour cream on top 🍅🌶🌮
